Bericht uit Tanzania (3 september 2012)

Vanmorgen stond op de website van Berg Adventures het eerste bericht vanuit Tanzania.  Leuk om wat foto’s te zien van de groep waarmee Christof de berg gaat beklimmen. De temperatuur in Arusha is aangenaam. Overdag wordt het de komende dagen 26-27 graden, terwijl het ’s nachts afkoelt naar een graad of 14. Hoe hoger de groep op de berg komt hoe kouder het zal gaan worden. Het tijdsverschil met Tanzania is trouwens 1 uur: zij lopen 1 uur op ons voor.

De wandelgroep is een internationaal team. De groep bestaat uit zeven mensen, een klein groepje dus.

September 3, 2012 – Team Has Arrived in Tanzania

Berg Adventures Guide Eric, called us from Arusha Tanzania yesterday to announce the team’s arrival and the start of its great African adventure. The guides woke the team up at 8 yesterday morning for an important orientation meeting for the climb up Kilimanjaro. Once business was taken care of, the team members explored the area as the guides took them to town for some shopping at the local markets and had lunch to taste some local dishes for the full experience and flavors of Tanzania.
The team sounds great and having fun with the anticipation as it builds for the climb ahead.
